Villa Antonia Estate

Villa Antonia is a family house from the late 19th century, with typical stately architecture of the Huerta de Sant Joan. But the house did not always have the appearance it has now, initially it had a single floor and at the beginning of the 20th century an additional floor was built. Over the years, a new body was added, which ended up determining its current configuration.

The facades have a symmetrical composition, repeating on each floor a sequence of three openings of marked verticality. On the main floor there are two small balconies with locksmith railings. on each floor a sequence of three openings of marked verticality. As ornamental elements, the white fencing of the openings stands out, with tiles on the parapets and lintels. The gabled roof is finished with flat tiles, decorated with ceramic crestings.

The Alicante red color of the façade contrasts with the sweet greenery of the garden that surrounds it, where we can find typical vegetation of the Sant Joan garden: olive trees, jacarandas, mulberry trees, elms, bougainvilleas and of course a jasmine hedge that delights the summer dinners. The orchard preserves a cypress and a Mexican palm tree, two centuries-old trees protected by the municipal council.

This delightful house can be visited, as its current use is a restaurant and exhibition hall. The complex presents an unforgettable setting where you can relax and enjoy Sant Joan gastronomy in good company.
