Villa Carmen

It is known that at the beginning of the 20th century this residence was owned by Tomás Torregrosa García. All the façades of the Villa Carmen have been extensively modified, the most important of which is the one facing the garden. The result of the various interventions on them has been the loss of their symmetrical com On the upper floor are the owner’s public and private rooms.

As ornamental elements The most notable features are the paving of rectangular yellow ceramic tiles arranged in a herringbone pattern in the vestibule; square ceramic tiles in a red and yellow checkerboard pattern on the main floor, painted brown; the eaves made of ceramic bricks painted in red almagra and white; the balconies held in place with thin wooden planks and the wrought iron parapets without ornamentation. The former wine cellar, to the west of the house and with a separate entrance to the south, has now been converted into bedrooms. Today, there is another cellar attached to the north façade.
