The Sant Joan d’Alacant City Council launches the 2nd Balcony and Window Decoration Contest under the slogan “Windows open to nature”. It is a proposal promoted by the Departments of Tourism and Parks and Gardens to fill the facades of the municipality with life and color.
The goal is to promote traditional potted gardening, beautify the streets, and contribute to environmental care.
Anyone over the age of 18 living in Sant Joan d’Alacant can participate, whether they own or rent homes with balconies or windows facing the street. The only requirement is that the decoration does not pose any risk to the home or the neighbors.
Registration is free and will be open until June 9, 2026. Registrations can be made in person at the Local Development Agency in Plaza de España, 1, open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Registrations can also be processed electronically by writing to the email address adl@santjoandalacant.es
The winners of gift vouchers worth up to €200 to be redeemed for gardening products will be announced on June 20th.
